Artist of the Weekend

A little late but always showing the best of… “Artist of the Weekend”!

Now it is time to show Heather’s work, her shop is quite new but already full of great items, so let’s see Bitty Moose :

Natural Soy Wax Break Away Clamshell Tarts MeltsThe Original BITTY MOOSE, cute for cabin or lodge decor Custom Halloween Signs, Black Cat, Witch, Many Designs To Choose FromFunny Dog Hair Hand Painted Wood Sign, 5 x 7

I am just a rural work at home Mom enjoying life and embracing my inner weirdo. My 3 young children are my inspiration for everything. I love to paint, I love to play with wax, and occasionally bust out the sewing machine to make a new friend.

I’m a reformed Partylite consultant. Back when I sold Partylite, they convinced me nothing could be better. Then when they raised prices (again) this year, I relaized I could make a BETTER, healthier candle, and charge TONS less. My customers have agreed, and now I even do home parties where I sell my candles and take orders for custom signs.

You know that saying “Jack of all trades, Master of none?” Yep, that’s me. I do my art, I own a mobile DJ service, and I’m a self-proclaimed Supermom. In the past, I have had a colorful array of mini-careers! I spent 7 years as a radio DJ, I sold clothes at Sears, I raised money for the MDA, and even became certified as an Optician.

Right now, I’m honestly the happiest I have ever been. My art allows me to express myself and be with my spawn, and while it hasn’t made me a mint (yet!) it’s certainly cheaper than a shrink! :)

Vivika says a special thanks to Bittymoose.

2. Movies I Love

Here is another movie I loooove…

L’Auberge Espagnole is a 2002 movie, it tells the history of Xavier, an economics student in his twenties, signs on to a European exchange program in order to gain working knowledge of the Spanish language. Promising that they’ll remain close, he says farewell to his loving girlfriend, then heads to Barcelona. Following his arrival, Xavier is soon thrust into a cultural melting pot when he moves into an apartment full of international students. An Italian, an English girl, a boy from Denmark, a young girl from Belgium, a German and a girl from Tarragona all join him in a series of adventures that serve as an initiation to life.
